ONGALLERY to host first Helmut Newton pop-up exhibition in London in 5 years

ONGallery, the recently launched online art gallery, is proud to announce Vintage Newton, a three day pop-up exhibition of original Helmut Newton vintage prints.  
 
The exhibition is one of the largest of its kind for many years in London and will consist of 26 original vintage silver gelatin prints produced in limited numbers by Helmut Newton. These prints were produced from a series of transparencies that he considered his most provocative and important work through 1984, and will be available for sale at the exhibition, as well as from ONGallery’s website,www.ongallery.com.

OnGallery Head of Artists’ Publishing, Lance Leman says: “This exhibition constitutes an anthology of images that Newton considered his most important work from 1974-1984, which was to form the foundation for the famed Private Property series of exhibitions in 1984 and 1985. Over the years, the Private Property portfolio has achieved legendary status, and represents an extraordinary photographer at the height of his creativity.”These images from the 70s and 80s will be available to view and buy at The Showroom Presents, 25 Effie Road, Fulham Broadway, SW6 1EL, from Thursday 26th to Saturday 28th November, 10am – 6pm.
