Tenderflix 2016

Better Living

Deadline for submissions, 10 July 2016.

Submit via the online form on Tenderpixel's website.

Tenderflix is an international film and video competition open to all moving image works.

In its 9th year in 2016 the theme for submitting to Tenderflix is Better Living. Originally related to the design field, this notion genuinely echoes a certain, wider strive to imagine better structures for building all aspects of our life—most importantly in terms of aesthetics, economics and social relations.

The deadline for submissions is 10 July 2016. All entries should be in the format of an online link to a single channel video, not exceeding 10 minutes in lengths, and completed after January 2015. Please use the online form on Tenderpixel's website to submit your piece.

In 2016 the jury include film and video curator Karen Alexander; video collector and foundation director Robert D. Bielecki; executive producer of Liberation Films Josephine Curtis; founder of Tenderpixel Gallery Etan Ilfeld and artist and winner of the 2015 Tenderflix Prize Lawrence Lek.

The shortlisted 10 films will be screened in the autumn of 2016 as part of the Tenderflix film festival, which in previous years took place at the ICA, London. The winner of the competition will be given a £1000 cash prize.

The Tenderflix Prize is generously supported by the Robert D. Bielecki Foundation.
