SELVEDGE'S 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS COMPETITION

Submitted by Anonymous on 5 December 2016 - 3:46pm

Angie Lewin creates limited edition linocut, wood engraving, lithograph and screen prints – inspired by skeletal plant forms seen against the sea and sky of North Norfolk and the Scottish Highlands and is a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, the Royal Watercolour Society, the Society of Wood Engravers and the Art Workers’ Guild.

In 2005 Angie and Simon Lewin founded St Jude’s, collaborating with an eclectic group of artists to create and print beautiful fabrics and wallpapers.

The idea behind the company was born when a collector of Angie’s limited edition prints mentioned that her work might translate well onto printed fabric. Starting with the simple aim of producing two of
Angie’s designs St Jude’s has become a small but thriving business working with a number of artists including Mark Hearld, Ed Kluz and Emily Sutton.

Angie is currently developing new fabric and wallpapers designs which St Jude’s will launch during 2017. She’s also curating an exhibition at Winchester Discovery Centre which will open in March 2017. In addition to a selection of Angie’s limited edition prints, the exhibition will feature works by a number of artists, designers and makers who have inspired Angie over the years.
